Mike Wallace is a douche bag

So I was watching 60 minutes last night and saw Mike Wallace's interview of Iranian President Blah Blahnijad (his name is too long, and it's not really relevant to the story) and he can't stop himself from cutting the guy off in mid-sentence every two seconds and waiving his arms and saying how the President doesn't get it. Mike, you don't get it.....your a douche. The man is the President of a nation, not the cable guy who didn't give you free HBO. Even if his views don't jive with those of the US the man still deserves dignity and respect. Talk about a model of the cocky American who shows no respect to any foreigners and looks down needlessly on people from the middle east simply because their Muslim. Sheesh. Be a model citizen for cryin out loud, at least in the presence of foreign leaders.

I was actually surprised at the way the Iranian Pres answered all of Wallace's questions: with poise and thought provoking answers. He really did seem since in wanting to open a dialogue between the US and Iran and showed ample concern for the innocent people being killed in Lebanon.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a tree huggin hippie liberal yuppie here. I'm in the big ten, not the ivy league. I think the US should still be tough on Iran in terms of it's nuclear weapons program and not letting it have the bomb, but maybe trying to isolate it completely from the rest of the world isn't the best way to do it. Perhaps treating that nation like a country full of adults capable of contributing to the global well-being rather than a 5 year old child on time-out would be a first step in motivating Iranians to think of themselves as part of that world community rather than the underdog in a cage match fight against the west. Just a thought though.

That's my deep thought for the day. Now to watch South Park until the Daily Show comes on.
Weeeeeeee!!!!!!!
